Forestry and Wildlife Assistance Program

This program assists landowners with managing their land for wildlife and/or forestry goals. Through this program our forestry and wildlife professional provides natural resource guidance and assistance to landowners in the development of private land projects. They also provide technical information as well as information on existing programs and financial assistance.

The two primary goals for the program are to provide landowners with free assistance and education about programs financial assistance or general natural resources information. The Professionals are typically located within Conservation District offices and are the first stop for all private landowners interested in managing their land or becoming involved in natural resource programs such as the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP), the Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program (CREP), the Wetlands Reserve Program (WRP), and other valuable programs that provide financial assistance to landowners interested in implementing conservation practices on their land.
