Sustainable Landscape Design presentation
by Marlies Manning, ASLA, of Manning Design. “Green
Design” is the buzzword for eco-friendly design, either architectural
design or site design. Sustainable design
is another term for eco-friendly design that uses resources such as energy,
water, materials, and land more efficiently and effectively. One major aspect
of Sustainable Design is conserving water. Water conservation is becoming more
critical today as large areas of our country experience drought and the
Funding for this project was provided by a grant received from the
Fremont Area Community Foundation under the Ice Mountain Environmental Stewardship
Fund, and the City of Evart. Come and learn about rain gardens and actually
view the
Plant
Here is just a small sample of what species will be available: Red and
White Trillium, Wild Geranium, Solomon Seal, Butterfly Weed, Gray Headed
Coneflower, Boneset, Prairie Smoke, Great Blue Lobelia, Rough Blazingstar, Wild
Lupine, Pennsylvania Sedge, Big and Little Bluestem, Indian Grass, Maidenhair
Fern, Cinnamon Fern, Wild Ginger, and much much more!
*Availability may be limited. Depends on seeds collected or plants
rescued. Orders will not be taken for this sale. You must be present to
purchase plants.
