Sip, Sow, & Grow

Native Plants & Powerful Teas

Date: Thursday, March 5th, 2026

Time: 2-3:30pm

Location: Reed City Area District Library

Gather with Melanie Chasseur, Program Support Specialist to learn, grow, and connect to the power of plants! Melanie will teach you how to winter-sow Michigan-Native perennial seeds, and how to harness their beneficial properties in your daily life as you sip tea made from the very plants you’ll grow!

Gardening supplies will be provided. You’ll leave the workshop with 3 species of Michigan-Native seeds, containers to grow them in, & the knowledge (and confidence) to care for them!

Tickets are $10. Bring Your Own translucent milk jugs if you want to plant more!
