Tire Recycling

Annual Tire Recycling Event

Proper disposal of tires is essential for protecting our environment and local ecosystems. Abandoned or improperly discarded tires can collect water, creating ideal breeding grounds for mosquitoes and other pests that spread disease. They also pose a fire hazard, releasing harmful pollutants when burned.

By offering our annual tire recycling event, we help reduce illegal dumping, prevent contamination of soil and waterways, and promote responsible waste management.

Recycling tires also ensures they are repurposed into useful materials like playground surfaces, roadways and fuel, reducing landfill waste and supporting a more sustainable community.

Tire Recycling Guidelines:

  • Accepted: Standard passenger & light-duty truck tires (on or off the rim)

  • Limit: 20 tires per household

  • Size Restrictions: No tires over 4 feet tall or wider than 12 inches

  • Condition: Tires must be dry and free of excessive dirt, paint, or cement

  • Not Accepted: Commercial farm, business, heavy equipment, or gel-filled tires – household and residential tires only
