This Grafted crabapple tree, originally from central Michigan, is a heavy producing tree that is annually productive, producing a 1”-1.5” crabapple with excellent disease resistance. Non-Typical™ will begin dropping in October and continue into the new year when planted in central Michigan. Non-Typical™ will reach a mature height of 18’-20’. Plant Hardiness Zones 4-7. Trees are in 10”-12” pots, are multi-branched, and 3’-5’ in their second growing year.
What can we say, we know a guy, trees are grown locally. Crabapples are extremely popular in the whitetail world because trees tend to bear fruit at a young age and have more fruit than most apple varieties. In year five, a crabapple tree may have a couple hundred fruits. And they will only get better from there with more time. These are long-term improvements and these varieties will all fruit at a young age and bear fruit annually. Even with this year’s heavy frost, these trees have an enormous amount of fruit. These trees can be pollinated with apple trees or crabapple trees. All three crabapple varieties will pollinate each other.
